Need a null modem version instead?: You can either make a cross-over network cable or simply purchase our null modem adapter instead:  DB9-M-RJ45-NULL

Quick Tip!: If you are connecting two pieces of RS-232 equipment with opposite gender DB9 connectors (one male, one female), in most cases this will mean you need a straight through cable. Just purchase the appropriate gender straight-through adapters and you should be good to go. On the other hand, if the equipment has the same gender (both male or both female), odds are you will need to use a null modem on one end to swap the send and receive lines. As always, consult your equipment pinout documentation to be absolutely sure.
