The newly designed Dragonfly™ standard motorized film screens will not only be one of the simplest pieces you install in a front projection system, but will also give you the same stellar visual performance as its fixed-screen counterpart. As standard screens do not offer a tab tensioning system, the fabric includes an inner layer of weaved fiberglass to stiffen the material to help hold a flat surface along the viewing area. Coupling this with a quiet tubular motor and discrete yet simple installation brackets only further its offerings. Because our goal is to make your job easier, we also include a full accessory kit for installation and operation right out of the box. The only thing we could have done to make your installations even simpler would have been to include RF capabilities. Oh, wait…we did.
Dragonfly film screens with High Contrast screen material are best used in a home theater installation when either room lighting can not be completely controlled, or the projector being used has weak black levels. Black levels are important for contrast and if compromised, a loss of definition will occur. With a gain of .8, the screen will help absorb some extra light, thus helping to enrich the contrast.
Dragonfly™ Motorized screens are meant to be simple to use and not be visually distracting. When you hang a motorized screen, the last thing you want to do is hang an IR sensor just to make remote control feasible. A built-in IR receiver means you can mount the screen and simply use the IR remote right of the box with nothing to plug in but the power. And whether you choose to hide the casing completely behind a curtain, soffit or in the ceiling itself, we provide an off-board IR receiver you simply plug in and place at a discrete location. Simple.
If you weren't lowering the screen, you'd barely know what was going on. The new Dragonfly™ standard motorized film screens, with its tubular motor, will give your customer quiet and reliable operation day in and day out. And with an average drop time of 13 seconds, lag time is minimized.
The new Dragonfly™ standard motorized film screens are RF capable, meaning the screen can be raised or lowered via radio frequency similar to how Universal Remote Controls work. What do we mean by this? Well, how nice would it be for the screen to drop or raise simply from turning on/off the projector or receiver? Purchased separately, the DFM-RF-TRIG-12V (a wireless RF 12V trigger) or the DFM-RF-TRIG-110V (a wireless RF power transmitter) easily connect to the screen and make RF control possible. Whether your installation forbids running a 12V trigger wire, you don't want to program in the screen codes in the remote, or just like the simplicity of reducing installation time, RF control increases your installation flexibility the easiest way possible.
