The Evolution series represents our latest and greatest approach to subwoofer design. Born of the same engineering expertise that delivered our popular Cub Sub, it delivers tight, punchy bass and is the perfect complement to our Episode® Speakers and Soundbars. An efficient DRiVE™ digital amplifier is combined with LFEQ Technology – Episode’s exclusive dual equalization circuitry – to deliver extended bass response with more output than anything in its class. Add in a piano gloss finish and flush-mounted grille, and it’s obvious this subwoofer delivers premium performance you can see and hear.

DRiVE™ Amplification: At the heart of this subwoofer is a highly efficient DRiVE™ Class-D amplifier. This digital technology produces 100 RMS (200W dynamic) of clean, tight bass and is up to 60% more efficient than conventional analog designs. In standby mode, the subwoofer consumes less than 0.5 watts, making it one of the “greenest” solutions available.

LFEQ Technology: Our engineers wanted to achieve the big bass performance of a large, ported subwoofer – but with the tight punchiness of a sealed enclosure. To get the best of both worlds, they painstakingly designed a dual EQ system that precisely shapes the output for flatter and lower frequency response. The end result is a sealed subwoofer that’s more musical and more powerful than anything in its class!

Woven Fiberglass Driver: Engineered from top-shelf components, this sub features a custom 6" driver with a woven fiberglass cone, Nomex spider and high-temperature voice coil. This rigid, lightweight design produces tight, low distortion that’s simply unmatched.

Small, Sealed, Sophisticated: This subwoofer is the perfect solution for installs where you need deep bass and accurate sound, but don’t have a lot of space to accomplish it. Its sealed cabinet provides impeccable responsiveness and highly accurate sound – all from a form factor that’s up to 20% smaller than comparable subs, so it can fit in cabinets when the install requires. A glossy polyurethane finish and flush-mounted grille gives a premium look and feel customers are sure to appreciate.

Ribbed Surround: An accordion-like ribbed surround allows for linear cone movement, so you get low distortion even at high volume levels.

High/Low Level Inputs: This subwoofer has the versatility to get the job done in all kinds of applications! For home theater installs, simply hook your receiver's subwoofer output to the LFE input – and you're good to go. And if your receiver only has speaker outputs, no problem! Just connect to the high-level inputs and then on to the speakers.

Signal Sensing Power-On: This Episode® subwoofer features a dedicated on/off switch, as well as a power-saving standby mode that automatically turns it off after 15 minutes of inactivity. However, as soon as an audio signal is detected, it roars to life – adding instant boom to any room. Now if you could just get the kids to turn off the lights when they leave…

Crossover & Phase Controls: For an unbelievable music and movie experience, the subwoofer can be tuned to match the speakers and room. A rear-mounted rotary crossover adjustment and phase switch enable you to optimize the system for the ultimate performance – providing more degrees of freedom in your install.
